Silly chicken. He didn’t realize that Wendall, who had passed away, was actually the still-living Wendell’s cousin. Wendell — if that’s his real name — was born only two weeks before his mother’s competitive, unimaginative, and orthographically incapable sister gave birth to a boy she named Wendall.
